Thanks to your support, the Malteser in the Diocese of Augsburg have already been able to provide incredible1.5 tons of food, to needy seniors. The aim is to have around2700 food packagesto those in need throughout Bavarian Swabia. This way, not only a meal but also a piece of human warmth is given away
Because the packages also bring volunteers to the house to listen and provide company. This breaks the often oppressive loneliness.
At 11 locations in the diocese of Augsburg, needy senior citizens were able to receive a food package worth €36 once a month. Thanks to the support of 24 GUTE TATEN, part of the costs for food, travel costs and project coordinators were financed. In addition, an 11th location was set up, which now also supplies needy senior citizens in Swabia with fresh food.
